How I Got Started With Slide Show Design and Video

While I was is school for eCommerce website design, I took a class on Photoshop and was learning how to manipulate images and create website graphics. The school was having a contest on how to visually display all of their schools and I thought doing it by video would be fun. So I researched different slide show video software and really liked Proshow Producer, I still use it today. I started making the video and used Photoshop to edit my images, found royalty free music to use for the video and entered into the contest. I did not win, but it did start my venture into video and slideshow design.

I started making slide show design videos of my kids growing up and thought maybe this is the route I will go. I built a website and a business called Thankyouthoughts and still have a website for it (not updated at all). It was when I decided that I wanted to promote that as a business that I learned that content marketing and social media where the ways to promote your website. I started writing a bunch of articles relating to slideshow design and created a facebook page. That went great for a while , I started getting new clients and was making videos. Until I wanted more. I wanted to learn a way to get more people to my facebook page. Then I started dabbling in social media marketing.  I don’t do as much with slide show design as a main business but I do make videos for clients and for family from time to time.
