Everyone in website design has their favorite plugins… these are mine. I hope you find some that work for you in this growing list.

Anti- Spam

Anti-spam plugin blocks automatic spam in comments section. No captcha. Plugin is easy to use: just install it and it just works. Blocked comments can be stored in the Spam area if needed. This can be enabled/disabled via Settings page. This is useful for testing and debug purpose. Blocked spam comments can be easily converted to regular comments if needed. Anti-spam plugin is GDPR compliant and does not store any other user data except of the behavior mentioned above. This plugin has always worked very well for me. I use it on all my websites that have comments open.

Autoptimize

Autoptimize makes optimizing your site really easy. It can aggregate, minify and cache scripts and styles, injects CSS in the page head by default (but can also defer), moves and defers scripts to the footer and minifies HTML.

Broken Link Checker

Broken Link Checker will monitor your blog looking for broken links and let you know if any are found. Monitors links in your posts, pages, comments, the blogroll, and custom fields (optional). Detects links that don’t work, missing images and redirects. Notifies you either via the Dashboard or by email. Makes broken links display differently in posts (optional). Prevents search engines from following broken links (optional). You can search and filter links by URL, anchor text and so on. Links can be edited directly from the plugin’s page, without manually updating each post. Highly configurable.

Cache Enabler

The Cache Enabler plugin creates static HTML files and stores them on the servers disk. The web server will deliver the static HTML file and avoids the resource intensive backend processes (core, plugins and database). This WordPress cache engine will improve the performance of your website.

Google Analytics Dashboard for WP by ExactMetrics (formerly GADWP)

This Google Analytics for WordPress plugin enables you to track your site using the latest Google Analytics tracking code and allows you to view key Google Analytics stats in your WordPress install. In addition to a set of general Google Analytics stats, in-depth Page reports and in-depth Post reports allow further segmentation of your analytics data, providing performance details for each post or page from your website.
