Happy February!
I sent my first newsletter last month and was a little nervous. Not sure what to write was a big concern. I really don’t like writing and was wondering if I can stay consistent sending them. Of course, there is also that human emotion part of wondering what people will think. I was assured immediately by responses from many of you that you enjoyed the newsletter and were looking forward to my future ones, so thank you for that! In each newsletter is a quick update on what I’m up to, a digital marketing tip, and a referral from my growing network. I imagine as time goes on, this newsletter will evolve (and only for the better!) but if you choose to leave, I’ll understand. What I Am Up To
The month of January has been a busy one. When not working on client work, I have been building our directory in the Small Business Milwaukee website.
In last month’s newsletter, I mentioned we were getting ready to launch a membership on the Small Business Milwaukee website. Kim and I have been working hard on getting organized and adding in the small businesses that we network with. The list is large because of all the networking I do, and it keeps getting larger ( a great problem to have)! We are nowhere near adding in all the businesses that will have a spot, but if you want to make sure you get put on sooner rather than later, just respond to this email with your business name and website. All these directory listings are free; they are very basic listings but are great for a link back to your site. Starting in May, we will be offering membership options that will allow you to add content to your directory listing and include many other digital marketing services! Digital Marketing Tip
Don’t get lazy. Get out and network.
No matter what kind of work I have done in the past or now, it always comes back to networking as being one of the best tools. Meeting new people always opens doors for me. No matter what you are looking for in life and business, it just works. I’m all about digital marketing, social media and website design… but that is just one type of advertising. Don’t forget about newspapers, fliers, mail, radio, billboards, etc. Networking, too, is just another way to market yourself. In business and life, you have many options on how to get the things you need to make a living, family, etc. Don’t forget about the in person networking. It works fast and it is very rewarding.
