Don’t Let Perfection Stop You
Wikipedia says: “It commonly takes 20% of the full time to complete 80% of a task while to complete the last 20% of a task takes 80% of the effort. Achieving absolute perfection may be impossible and so, as increasing effort results in diminishing returns, further activity becomes increasingly inefficient.”
If you are anything like me, perfection has delayed many of your projects. More and more I am learning to create and complete tasks carefully, and then considering them finished. Most times it won’t be perfect. But, with the amount of content I need to create for digital marketing, perfection would mean nothing ever gets seen. That does not mean I don’t take care in my work; it does mean I don’t edit my video 50 times or rewrite my content 20 times to make sure it all sounds and looks perfect. Perfection creates procrastination and when that starts to happen, I realize it’s time for me to just get it done as best I can and send it on its way. This has helped reduce some stress for me and I encourage you to try it yourself. It works.

Digital Marketing Tip
Speaking about perfection, one way I make sure to edit as I’m writing (besides using another pair of eyes) is to use Grammarly. I have the free version which is just enough for me right now. It helps me edit as I write, which is great, because my spelling is awful. I write too fast and everything comes up misspelled or I use the wrong context of the word. If you are doing a lot of writing, make sure you get Grammarly. It will save you from making a lot of mistakes.
